Hello guys !

First, I'd like to thank the creator of this idea… The sheeps are beautiful on my computer as screensaver ! Wonderful… But now, I wanted to give it a go with creating new sheeps, and I tried to use Oxidizer (as i'm under Mac)… But no luck at all until now…

My system is the following : iMac 27″ 2Tb Hard Drive, Resolution 2550 X 1440 (color profile standard iMac) 4Go Ram, and Processor 3,06 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo. I'm under mac os x Snow Leopard.

I also must say that I never used the software before, and so, first try. I downloaded the archive, unzipped, and moved it to the applications folder. When I start it, it wait for 2 seconds, and open the crash report. I tried so many times now, that I don't know if I should post all the reports… I think I'll post here below the first try and the last try.

First try : Never had the software windows. Just a plain crash upon launch.

Hi Vampyre, does your Mac speak french by any chance. If so then I know what the issue is, an out of date french translation that I swore I got rid of a version of two ago as somehow got back into the the release.

Try deleting the French translation by going to Oxidizer.app in Finder, use the context menu to open thw package contents, go into Contents/Resources and rename French.proj to anything else.

After that, try to start Oxidizer again.

If it doesn't work let me know here and I compile an new experimental 0.7.2 version up. I was going to add a feature or two but Crashes on startup trump all other concerns.

Thank you for this VERY fast answer !

So, I first started with the newest 0.7.1, but it didn't solved anything…

I then tried David's solution… which is working 100% ! Yes, my mac is in french. I renamed the french.lproj to frenchies.lproj, and now it works like a charm !

No, the french version of the NIB / XIB files (which hold the description of the user interface) were several version behind and refer to core data values that are no longer used.
