Etched in Rex

There’s a good reason that one my personal work methods is known as “play with everything”. Take this composition for instance; a somewhat mediocre photo (should have had my tripod, should have tried a few other f-stops, should have used flash…) is transmorgrified through the use of layer blending, filtering, and selective blurs. The end result is more CGI than photo, but it has a realism to it that is difficult to achieve through artificial means.

I don’t know what it’s “supposed” to look like, but I see a delicious brownie, and it makes me hungry. :-)

That’s how the rust and corrosion started to appear on the body of my 1976 Honda Civic back in 1977.

Hmmm, brownies and rust. Isn’t that an old Joan Baez song? Thinking…

Oops, my bad. I’m thinking of Diamonds and Rust.
