This happy little drop of H20 darn near held up a sign saying “Look at me!” — just sitting there and twinkling in the sun, suspended along the frond a Tiger Lily in the side garden.

A Friday morning stroll through The Whitmire Wildflower Garden at Shaw Nature Reserve reaps a nice collection of photos for our gallery.

Spring wears a red dress and my, oh my — she looks darn sweet, casually dancing in the breeze, teasing our eyes after the cold and colourless days of Winter.

Well she’s walking through the clouds
With a circus mind that’s running round
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairy tales
That’s all she ever thinks about
Riding with the wind.
When I’m sad, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles, she gives to me free
It’s alright she says it’s alright
Take anything you want from me,
anything.
Fly on little wing,
Yeah yeah, yeah, little wing.

In homage to Bob Ross we’re putting a “happy litte flower” right over here.

Although I’ve only made a few trips to visit the raptors at the World Bird Sanctuary, I’m finding that that “Chrys”, a Long Crested Eagle, is perhaps the most cooperative and fun member of the group to photograph.

Catching colour from both the skies above, and the surrouning landscape, playful waters dance in celebration to the new day.

A very cold (and very early) Saturday morning perched on the last crumbling edge of a concrete causeway rewards the photographer with a nice patch of ice covered river saplings anchored amidst rushing torrents of white water.
Here’s a wide angle shot of the same scene from my Missouri Outdoors pixelpost gallery. Location for this image was on the Big River at Morse Mill, Jefferson County, Missouri.
